| Diddy denies LA Times' Tupac story |
March 17 2008 |
|
Sean "Diddy" Combs has denied a report by the Los Angeles Times that his associates were responsible for the 1994 robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur at a New York recording studio, and that he knew about the attack in advance.
"The story is a lie," the hip-hop mogul said in a statement Monday. "It is beyond ridiculous and completely false. Neither (the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.) nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened. ... I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story."

| The Simpsons: Fun to Watch, Hell to Make |
August 01 2007 |
|
An animated movie that’s not from Pixar yet rakes in $70 million in its first weekend is obviously cause for celebration. As we all know, the experts predicted way less. The response is amazing. Yep, it’s time to pop open a zillion cases of Duff and kick back.
And I hear the man who is really breathing a sigh of relief, joy and perhaps comeuppance is director David Silverman.
"They were really worried because they changed so much of the movie so late in the game," reveals my Simpsons insider. "David Silverman almost lost his job."

| Lindsay-Fueled 911 Call Released |
July 27 2007 |
|
The cops who responded to this call apparently had no idea they were about to make tabloid headlines.
The woman who called 911 early Tuesday morning to report that a huge SUV was chasing her repeatedly referred to her pursuer as a man, obviously not realizing that it was Lindsay Lohan behind the wheel, according to the call released Thursday by the Santa Monica City Attorney's Office.
"We were just about to park our car, we were turning home, and out of nowhere, a huge white GMC came up," said the voice on the phone, which supposedly belongs to the mother of one of Lohan's assistants, whom police...

| Lindsay Getting Care, but Not from Betty Ford |
July 24 2007 |
|
Lindsay Lohan may not be in a happy place right now but, according to her mom, she's in a safe place. And one that wasn't founded by a former first lady.
Despite rumors that the troubled starlet was on her way to the famed Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, after being arrested for the second time in two months on DUI-related charges, Lohan is still in Los Angeles, sources say.
Dina Lohan declined to say where her daughter was, but she released a statement to The Insider and Entertainment Tonight saying, "I am sick over this."

| Eva, Tony Keep It Civil |
June 06 2007 |
|
Eva Longoria is officially halfway to becoming a desperate housewife.
Longoria and NBA superstar Tony Parker tied the knot Friday in a civil ceremony at Paris' City Hall, becoming husband and wife in front of a small group of family and friends about 24 hours before going all out with a much more romantic—and ostentatious—ceremony set in the French countryside.
The 32-year-old actress and the 25-year-old San Antonio Spurs point guard took the matrimonial plunge just before 4:30 p.m. local time. The civil-vows swap, a necessary formality under French law, took place at the Mairie, the city hall for the city's fourth arrondissement.

| Paris Gets World's Worst Cellmate: Her Brain |
June 05 2007 |
|
The heiress surrenders early, leaving herself alone with her thoughts (pink is cute, etc.).
Paris Hilton surrendered herself to a men's prison on Sunday, June 3, but she wasn't there to meet cute guys (well, not JUST to meet cute guys). It was the L.A. sheriff office's strategy to avoid the paparazzi congregating around Century Regional Detention Center, the L.A. women's prison where Paris will be serving her 45-day sentence (23 if she behaves). From the men's prison, the 26-year-old riches-to-rags icon was transported to her cell where she was booked, fingerprinted, given a medical exam and issued her prison attire.

| Bottling the Danny DeVito Experience |
April 30 2007 |
|
When life gives Danny DeVito lemons, he makes limoncello.
The actor has launched a signature line of the citrus-flavored liqueur that reportedly fueled his seemingly drunken appearance on The View back in November.
DeVito's date with the chatfest came on the heels of a night out on the town with George Clooney, who admitted he might have contributed to the problem by tricking his little friend into consuming more limoncello than he realized.
